Putting on the hygiene mask correctly

• Before using the face mask, wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water or a hand disinfectant.
• Carefully put on the hygiene mask so that it fits snugly against  the face, covers the nose and mouth and there are no gaps between face and mask.
• Once the hygiene mask is in place, do not touch it again. After each contact with a used hygiene mask, wash your hands with soap and water or with a hand disinfectant.
• Hygiene masks can be worn for at least 2 to 4 hours, even if they are damp. After a maximum of 8 hours the hygiene mask should be replaced with a new, clean and dry one.
• After each use, throw away immediately after taking it off.
• Observe the FOPH's recommended hygiene measures even when wearing a hygiene mask!
