Dry finishing is mainly used for polishing. Here a polishing paste or powder adheres to the polishing medium. The motion generated in the mass finishing process causes friction between the medium and the workpiece, thereby removing material stock and giving a highly polished surface.

The Media-Set dry includes:

• 5 kg H1/100 walnut-shell granule (coarse)
• 5 kg H1/500 walnut-shell granule (fine)
• 1 kg P6 polishing paste
• 1 spoon
• 1 scope

Walnut-shell granulate H1 is impregnated with a polishing paste so that no further polishing paste need to be added for the first 3 - 4 batches. Typical applications: mirror-finish polishing of precious metals, jewellery, titanium and steel alloys. 

The P6 polishing pastes are mainly used in combination with H1/ granules in the dry process. They produce high-quality surfaces. Since they mostly contain oil, they also produce good corrosion protection.
