This special accessory enables the gentle width change of wide, flat and patterned rings, which is often not possible with the help of the extension cones or the immersion plate alone.

The widening:
Insert the appropriate expansion cone into the base plate and rotate it through 90°; please pay attention to the markings on the base plate and on the cone, as these must match when inserting. Now place a measuring disc over the expansion cone which is seven numbers smaller than the desired new ring width (e.g. ring width 62, measuring disc 55). The ring is then placed on a matching plastic sleeve and this is slipped over the expansion cone. (The expansion cone should be lightly greased.) Now press the sleeve with the spring head downwards. The ring can only be extended by two ring sizes at a time and then use a larger plastic sleeve. Now pull up the expanded ring and the measuring disc with the pulling hooks.
