Course Special Gravers an Sharpening Geomeytry
Course topic:
Manufacture of special gravers and sharpening geometry.
Course objectiv:
Learn advanced techniques using new graver shapes and achieve an improvement in quality.
Target group:
The course is aimed at all interested professionals in the stone setting and goldsmithing sector who are already familiar with the latest technology of GRS pneumatic systems and have attended the course Modern Technology.
Course content:
- Setting up, adjusting and explaining the operating principles of the GraverMax, GraverMach AT and GraverSmith.
- Handling of the devices and their possibilities.
- Sharpening of carbide gravers in different shapes using diamond grinding tools.
- Demonstration of stone setting techniques with the GraverMach AT.
- The course participants practise the techniques on the practice pieces provided for this purpose.
- The course participants receive written course documentation.
Training room:
All workstations are equipped identically: height-adjustable work tables, stereo microscope, BenchMate and GraverMax.
Consumables:
Pre-shaped carbide gravers and practice pieces are provided. Carbide blanks for individual processing can be purchased by the participants.
